Eric Seader
President and Director, College Division

Eric Seader is the founder and CEO of Seader Speakers Bureau in New York. After graduating from American University's Visual Media program in 2001, he embarked on a career in television production for four years - working for NBC, Discovery, Fox, ABC/SoapNet, and a slew of independent documentaries.

He came to the lecture industry in 2005 after realizing that television might not have been his true calling. Beginning as a sales assistant for a bureau in Washington, DC, he longed for a more creative role in the industry, which brought him to another agency in New York City where he was given the opportunity to exercise his marketing skills. After emerging from the rubble of the 2008 economic collapse, Seader re-evaluated his career experience and envisioned starting his own speakers bureau.


Building upon the knowledge gained from working for two of the most prominent bureaus in the industry. he launched Seader Speakers Bureau at the tail end of 2008 and quickly began representing high-profile clients. His mission was - and still is - to keep his bureau small, to focus on a few key clients, and to devote greater care and concern to each and every booking. Seader is a firm believer in the value of customer service - a virtue he has carried with him since his days waiting tables.

In his spare time, Seader is an amateur singer/songwriter who goes by the stage name Eric from Merrick. He has been writing original music for more than 14 years, but has only been writing marketable songs since 2006. He is an avid fan of blues and classic rock, but strives to touch as many genres as possible with his original content. He also enjoys cooking, photography, and keeping up with the latest environmental, political, technological, and automotive trends.

Seader lives in New York City and devotes as much time as possible to social justice and civil right issues.
